Washington Elk Unit 615

Sightings, hotspots, and hunt insights for Washington Game Management Unit 615.

GMU 615 "Constitution" sits on the northeastern flank of the Olympic Peninsula, a maritime rainforest where elk move through moss-draped timber and deeply incised river drainages rather than open Western country. Elevations climb from near sea level to roughly 4,500 to 5,000 feet along interior ridgelines, with 5 to 15 year old logging cuts offering the densest browse of salal, huckleberry, and salmonberry. Water is everywhere, so forage edges and the Olympic National Park boundary matter more than tanks. Our data pack covers Unit Overview and Topography, Vegetation and Hydrology, Seasonal Expectations, Logistics and Access, plus a one-page Essential Recon summary. Study the unit on our interactive map, then export the points you choose to onX or your favorite hunting map.

How this data was collected

Data Hunt Guide aggregates publicly available sighting reports from across the web (social media, hunting forums, harvest reports, and trail-camera shares) and uses a proprietary algorithm to identify high-activity zones (hotspots) within each unit. Our team verifies coordinates manually before publication.
