Our Process

How We Find Your Animal

It all started after a long, hard, and unsuccessful hunt. Our founder, Robert, a data scientist by trade, was tired of guessing. So he spent nearly 30 months building an algorithm that uses open-source data to find where deer, elk, bear, and other game animals actually are.

Instead of reading terrain off a map, Data Hunt Guide analyzes thousands of real wildlife sightings, weighing elevation, cover, food, water, seasonal timing, and distance from roads, to pinpoint the high-activity zones inside your unit.

The first real test was his son's deer hunt near Prescott, Arizona. The data pointed to one specific area. Pre-hunt scouting turned up fresh sign, and on opening morning, a buck stepped right out. It worked.

Our algorithm relies only on data from non-hunters. We respect the secrecy of your favorite spots and protect your privacy, always.
