Washington's Stormking unit is westside green-tunnel country: dense, wet Cascade foothills in Lewis County where deer live along clearcut edges and cut-to-timber margins rather than open glassing lanes. From the Tilton River floor near 900 feet, ridges climb past 4,000 feet toward Kiona Peak and Stormking Mountain, and because water runs everywhere here, movement is driven by cover, regenerating browse, and gated-timberland pressure instead of scarce tanks.
