Washington Deer Unit 251

Sightings, hotspots, and hunt insights for Washington Game Management Unit 251.

GMU 251, the Mission Unit, is a true two-world deer unit on the east slope of the Cascades in Chelan County, where sage and basalt rim at 800 feet climb in a single drainage to nearly 7,000 feet on the Wenatchee Crest. We map the long north-south ridges (Mission, Tronsen, Naneum, and the Stemilt highlands), the spring and seep pockets that hold deer through dry late summers, and the bitterbrush and old burn regrowth that concentrate forage. The pack covers Unit Overview and Topography, Vegetation and Hydrology, Seasonal Expectations, Logistics and Access, plus a one-page Essential Recon summary. Study the unit on our interactive map, then export the points you choose into onX or your favorite hunting map.

How this data was collected

Data Hunt Guide aggregates publicly available sighting reports from across the web (social media, hunting forums, harvest reports, and trail-camera shares) and uses a proprietary algorithm to identify high-activity zones (hotspots) within each unit. Our team verifies coordinates manually before publication.
