Utah Deer Unit Wasatch Mtns, West

Sightings, hotspots, and hunt insights for Utah Game Management Unit Wasatch Mtns, West.

The Wasatch West is the abrupt western face of Utah's Wasatch Range, a fault-block escarpment that throws 5,000 to 6,500 feet of vertical relief at deer hunters within a 3 to 5 mile push, from 4,500-foot benches to summits above 11,750. Water lives down in the canyon bottoms (American Fork, Provo, the Cottonwood drainages), so deer travel hard between bitterbrush and serviceberry browse and a drink, and they shift to mid-mountain benches around 7,000 to 9,000 feet once frosts hit. Our pack covers Unit Overview and Topography, Vegetation and Hydrology, Seasonal Expectations, Logistics and Access, plus a one-page Essential Recon summary. Study the unit on our interactive map and export the points you choose to onX or your favorite hunting map.

How this data was collected

Data Hunt Guide aggregates publicly available sighting reports from across the web (social media, hunting forums, harvest reports, and trail-camera shares) and uses a proprietary algorithm to identify high-activity zones (hotspots) within each unit. Our team verifies coordinates manually before publication.
