Pennsylvania Deer Unit 3D

Sightings, hotspots, and hunt insights for Pennsylvania Game Management Unit 3D.

Pennsylvania's WMU 3D is classic northern hardwood country in the state's northeastern corner, where the dissected Allegheny Plateau gives way to the glaciated Pocono Uplands, and deer hunters live and die by the oak benches. Elevations run from roughly 600 feet along the Delaware River corridor up near 2,650 feet in the Moosic Mountains, and that productive 1,200 to 1,800 foot oak-hickory midslope is where acorn fall pulls movement. Water is everywhere (the Lackawaxen, Wallenpaupack, and Shohola), so creeks read as travel corridors. Our pack covers Unit Overview and Topography, Vegetation and Hydrology, Seasonal Expectations, Logistics and Access, and a one-page Essential Recon summary. Study the unit on our interactive map, then export the points you choose to onX or your favorite hunting map.

How this data was collected

Data Hunt Guide aggregates publicly available sighting reports from across the web (social media, hunting forums, harvest reports, and trail-camera shares) and uses a proprietary algorithm to identify high-activity zones (hotspots) within each unit. Our team verifies coordinates manually before publication.
