Pennsylvania Bear Unit 2F

Sightings, hotspots, and hunt insights for Pennsylvania Game Management Unit 2F.

Unit 2F is classic Big Woods Pennsylvania, a dissected slice of the Allegheny Plateau where black bear travel narrow hardwood hollows between 900-foot river bottoms along the Allegheny and Clarion and benches pushing past 2,200 feet. Bears work the mast: red oak, white oak, and beech up high, with mountain laurel and rhododendron giving thick security cover, while reclaimed gas pads and clover-seeded forest roads concentrate feeding. Our pack covers Unit Overview and Topography, Vegetation and Hydrology, Seasonal Expectations, Logistics and Access, plus a one-page Essential Recon summary. Study the unit on our interactive map, then export the points you choose to onX or your favorite hunting map.

How this data was collected

Data Hunt Guide aggregates publicly available sighting reports from across the web (social media, hunting forums, harvest reports, and trail-camera shares) and uses a proprietary algorithm to identify high-activity zones (hotspots) within each unit. Our team verifies coordinates manually before publication.
