Michigan Deer Unit 31

Sightings, hotspots, and hunt insights for Michigan Game Management Unit 31.

Michigan Unit 31 is classic northern Lower Peninsula northwoods: glacially-carved moraine ridges, kettle depressions, and cedar-rimmed lowlands where deer movement is dictated less by water (abundant here, with perennial creeks, spring seeps, and beaver flowages) than by the swamps and flooded two-tracks that channel travel. River-bottom floors near 600 feet climb to moraine tops cresting 1,300 to 1,400 feet, where oak mast, aspen regeneration cuts, and witch hazel concentrate browse. Our data pack covers Unit Overview and Topography, Vegetation and Hydrology, Seasonal Expectations, Logistics and Access, and a one-page Essential Recon summary. Study the unit on our interactive map, then export the points you choose to onX or your favorite hunting map.

How this data was collected

Data Hunt Guide aggregates publicly available sighting reports from across the web (social media, hunting forums, harvest reports, and trail-camera shares) and uses a proprietary algorithm to identify high-activity zones (hotspots) within each unit. Our team verifies coordinates manually before publication.
