Idaho Turkey Unit 2

Sightings, hotspots, and hunt insights for Idaho Game Management Unit 2.

Idaho Unit 2 is the entire wedge of Boundary County, pinned against the Canadian border where the Kootenai River valley bottoms out near 1,750 feet between the granitic Selkirk and rounded Purcell mountains, and for turkey hunters that low agricultural corridor and its cottonwood and hawthorn riparian edges matter far more than the 7,709-foot peaks above. With roughly 75 to 80 percent public ground, old clearcuts and brushfield forage of huckleberry and serviceberry, and access funneled off Highway 95 onto gated Forest Service spurs, knowing where to walk is everything. Our pack covers Unit Overview and Topography, Vegetation and Hydrology, Seasonal Expectations, Logistics and Access, plus a one-page Essential Recon summary. Study the unit on our interactive map, then export the points you choose to onX or your favorite hunting map.

How this data was collected

Data Hunt Guide aggregates publicly available sighting reports from across the web (social media, hunting forums, harvest reports, and trail-camera shares) and uses a proprietary algorithm to identify high-activity zones (hotspots) within each unit. Our team verifies coordinates manually before publication.
