Idaho Deer Unit 33

Sightings, hotspots, and hunt insights for Idaho Game Management Unit 33.

Idaho Unit 33 is classic Idaho Batholith country, a deeply dissected block of decomposed granite where the North, Middle, and South Forks of the Payette River carve the terrain into steep timbered canyons radiating from the high Deadwood core. For deer hunters that vertical structure is everything: hot ponderosa river bottoms near 3,000 feet, a workable mid-mountain bench zone of bitterbrush, mountain mahogany, and burn-scar ceanothus, and subalpine ridges climbing toward 8,700 feet, with animals riding that elevation gradient as frosts push them down. Our pack covers Unit Overview and Topography, Vegetation and Hydrology, Seasonal Expectations, Logistics and Access, plus a one-page Essential Recon summary. Study the unit on our interactive map, then export the points you choose to onX or your favorite hunting map.

How this data was collected

Data Hunt Guide aggregates publicly available sighting reports from across the web (social media, hunting forums, harvest reports, and trail-camera shares) and uses a proprietary algorithm to identify high-activity zones (hotspots) within each unit. Our team verifies coordinates manually before publication.
