Idaho Deer Unit 10A

Sightings, hotspots, and hunt insights for Idaho Game Management Unit 10A.

Idaho's Unit 10A is some of the most vertical deer country in the Lower 48, where the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness drops from 8,500-foot granite ridges down into V-cut Lochsa and Selway river canyons in just a few brutal horizontal miles. Because water runs everywhere here, deer sign disperses, so you hunt terrain and forage instead: huckleberry fields, old 1910 Big Burn scars, and mid-mountain benches around 4,500 to 6,500 feet where game concentrates as frosts arrive. Our pack covers Unit Overview and Topography, Vegetation and Hydrology, Seasonal Expectations, Logistics and Access, plus a one-page Essential Recon summary. Study the unit on our interactive map, then export the points you choose into onX or your favorite hunting map.

How this data was collected

Data Hunt Guide aggregates publicly available sighting reports from across the web (social media, hunting forums, harvest reports, and trail-camera shares) and uses a proprietary algorithm to identify high-activity zones (hotspots) within each unit. Our team verifies coordinates manually before publication.
