Colorado Turkey Unit 60

Sightings, hotspots, and hunt insights for Colorado Game Management Unit 60.

Colorado GMU 60 is a narrow band of red-rock canyon country pinned against the Utah line, and for turkeys the story starts on the Dolores River, whose cottonwood and willow galleries thread the Paradox Valley floor near 4,950 to 5,000 feet. From there the ground stairsteps up through pinyon-juniper mesas into Gambel oak and ponderosa benches that climb toward the Uncompahgre Plateau above 8,000 feet, with State Highway 141 and Highway 90 framing the access web of BLM gravel. The pack breaks all of it down: Unit Overview and Topography, Vegetation and Hydrology, Seasonal Expectations, Logistics and Access, plus a one-page Essential Recon summary. Study the unit on our interactive map, then export the points you choose into onX or your favorite hunting map.

How this data was collected

Data Hunt Guide aggregates publicly available sighting reports from across the web (social media, hunting forums, harvest reports, and trail-camera shares) and uses a proprietary algorithm to identify high-activity zones (hotspots) within each unit. Our team verifies coordinates manually before publication.
