Unit 46 is a layered transition unit, and for turkey hunters that mast-and-browse mid-bench is the engine: Gambel oak acorns, serviceberry, and snowberry along the 6,400 to 7,500 foot sage and oak benches between the Roaring Fork and Eagle River drainages, rising into aspen stringers below Red Table and Basalt Mountain.
