Colorado Pronghorn Antelope Unit 3

Sightings, hotspots, and hunt insights for Colorado Game Management Unit 3.

Tucked into Colorado's extreme northwest corner in Moffat County, Unit 3 is true high-desert pronghorn country: vast sage-and-juniper basins broken by sandstone rims, with the timbered island of Cold Spring Mountain rising out of the flats. Elevations step from roughly 5,800 feet in the Vermillion Creek drainages up near 8,500 feet, and water is the whole story, with perennial sources limited to creeks, scattered guzzlers, and stock tanks that pull antelope and pressure together as summer dries the basin. Our pack covers Unit Overview and Topography, Vegetation and Hydrology, Seasonal Expectations, Logistics and Access, plus a one-page Essential Recon summary. Study the unit on our interactive map, then export the points you choose to onX or your favorite hunting map.

How this data was collected

Data Hunt Guide aggregates publicly available sighting reports from across the web (social media, hunting forums, harvest reports, and trail-camera shares) and uses a proprietary algorithm to identify high-activity zones (hotspots) within each unit. Our team verifies coordinates manually before publication.
