Colorado Elk Unit 32

Sightings, hotspots, and hunt insights for Colorado Game Management Unit 32.

Colorado Unit 32 is Roan Plateau country, a tilted tableland of sage and timber that breaks into the Roan Cliffs, a banded wall towering 3,000 to 4,000 feet above the Colorado River, so elk here live between roughly 5,100 feet in the valley and a 9,200-foot rim. About three-quarters is BLM ground, but low private bottoms often force you to climb up onto public land, and water concentrates in the high perennial seeps and upper reaches of Parachute and Roan Creeks feeding the oakbrush and serviceberry benches. Our pack covers Unit Overview and Topography, Vegetation and Hydrology, Seasonal Expectations, Logistics and Access, and a one-page Essential Recon summary. Study the unit on our interactive map, then export the points you pick to onX or your favorite hunting map.

How this data was collected

Data Hunt Guide aggregates publicly available sighting reports from across the web (social media, hunting forums, harvest reports, and trail-camera shares) and uses a proprietary algorithm to identify high-activity zones (hotspots) within each unit. Our team verifies coordinates manually before publication.
