Colorado Elk Unit 25

Sightings, hotspots, and hunt insights for Colorado Game Management Unit 25.

Colorado Unit 25 is the Flat Tops in miniature: a massive basalt-capped plateau of table-flat tundra that plunges off cliff-banded rims into deep, timbered canyons, the kind of sky-island country where elk pattern around shade and cover instead of water. The unit floor sits near 7,200 feet along the White River and climbs above 12,300 feet on the high plateau, with classic aspen benches and willow-choked drainages between. Natural water is everywhere, which disperses animals widely rather than concentrating them. Our pack covers Unit Overview and Topography, Vegetation and Hydrology, Seasonal Expectations, Logistics and Access, plus a one-page Essential Recon summary. Study the unit on our interactive map, then export the points you choose to onX or your favorite hunting map.

How this data was collected

Data Hunt Guide aggregates publicly available sighting reports from across the web (social media, hunting forums, harvest reports, and trail-camera shares) and uses a proprietary algorithm to identify high-activity zones (hotspots) within each unit. Our team verifies coordinates manually before publication.
