Colorado Deer Unit 84

Sightings, hotspots, and hunt insights for Colorado Game Management Unit 84.

Unit 84 is a ribbed landscape on the southern flank of Colorado's San Juans in Archuleta County, where long parallel ridges drop into deep timbered drainages, so every mile of north-south travel for deer means crossing a creek bottom and climbing out the other side. We map the full gradient, from 6,500 ft sage and pinon-juniper along the Navajo and Chama rivers up through the defining Gambel oak brush to 11,500 ft spruce. The pack covers Unit Overview and Topography, Vegetation and Hydrology, Seasonal Expectations, Logistics and Access, plus a one-page Essential Recon summary. Study it on our interactive map, then export the points you choose to onX or your favorite hunting map.

How this data was collected

Data Hunt Guide aggregates publicly available sighting reports from across the web (social media, hunting forums, harvest reports, and trail-camera shares) and uses a proprietary algorithm to identify high-activity zones (hotspots) within each unit. Our team verifies coordinates manually before publication.
