Arizona Turkey Unit 35A

Sightings, hotspots, and hunt insights for Arizona Game Management Unit 35A.

Unit 35A is southern Arizona Sky Island country south of Tucson, where the western Santa Ritas and Sierritas rise sharply from desert basins, and for turkey hunters that vertical relief is everything, since birds climb out of the heat into oak woodland and ponderosa above 6,000 feet while elevations run from roughly 2,700 up to 8,600 feet. Water is limited and seasonal, so flocks compress around scattered springs and foothill dirt tanks, and oak browse drives mid-elevation forage. Our pack covers Unit Overview and Topography, Vegetation and Hydrology, Seasonal Expectations, Logistics and Access, and a one-page Essential Recon summary. Study the unit on our interactive map, then export the points you choose to onX or your favorite hunting map.

How this data was collected

Data Hunt Guide aggregates publicly available sighting reports from across the web (social media, hunting forums, harvest reports, and trail-camera shares) and uses a proprietary algorithm to identify high-activity zones (hotspots) within each unit. Our team verifies coordinates manually before publication.
