Unit 6B is broken Mogollon Rim transition country south of Flagstaff and east of I-17, where the high pine plateau fractures into deep volcanic and sedimentary canyons dropping toward the Verde and Beaver Creek drainages, exactly the sun-warmed canyon-and-juniper structure javelina favor.
