Arizona Elk Unit 3B

Sightings, hotspots, and hunt insights for Arizona Game Management Unit 3B.

Unit 3B is transitional elk country south of Springerville and east of Show Low, where Unit 1's continuous ponderosa breaks down into broad, glassable mesa tops, juniper flats, and sandstone rim systems cut by dry canyons. Elevations run roughly 6,000 to 8,200 feet, and because true perennial water is scarce, elk compress tightly around man-made dirt tanks in dry years and scatter after monsoon grass flushes. Our pack covers Unit Overview and Topography, Vegetation and Hydrology, Seasonal Expectations, Logistics and Access, plus a one-page Essential Recon summary, including private-ranch boundary dynamics near valley bottoms. Study the unit on our interactive map, then export the points you choose to onX or your favorite hunting map.

How this data was collected

Data Hunt Guide aggregates publicly available sighting reports from across the web (social media, hunting forums, harvest reports, and trail-camera shares) and uses a proprietary algorithm to identify high-activity zones (hotspots) within each unit. Our team verifies coordinates manually before publication.
