Arizona Deer Unit 9

Sightings, hotspots, and hunt insights for Arizona Game Management Unit 9.

Unit 9 sits north of Williams and west of Highway 89, a slice of the high Kaibab Plateau where deer hunters work expansive grassy parks and mature ponderosa pine broken by deep canyon systems near the western and northern edges. The country runs from roughly 6,000 feet in the western canyon bottoms to about 8,800 feet on the northern high points, with cool-season meadow grasses as the nutritional base and man-made tanks that become concentration hubs in drought years. Our pack covers Unit Overview and Topography, Vegetation and Hydrology, Seasonal Expectations, Logistics and Access, plus a one-page Essential Recon summary. Study the unit on our interactive map, then export the points you choose to onX or your favorite hunting map.

How this data was collected

Data Hunt Guide aggregates publicly available sighting reports from across the web (social media, hunting forums, harvest reports, and trail-camera shares) and uses a proprietary algorithm to identify high-activity zones (hotspots) within each unit. Our team verifies coordinates manually before publication.
