Arizona Deer Unit 35A

Sightings, hotspots, and hunt insights for Arizona Game Management Unit 35A.

Unit 35A is true southern Arizona Sky Island country south of Tucson, where the Santa Rita and Sierrita Mountains erupt from desert flats and force deer to live by elevation. From roughly 2,700 ft creosote and mesquite basins up to 8,600 ft oak and ponderosa slopes, the herd chases shade and water, compressing tight around scattered mountain springs and foothill dirt tanks in dry years while monsoon rains and warm-season grasses pull them onto mid-elevation benches and ridge saddles. Our data pack covers Unit Overview and Topography, Vegetation and Hydrology, Seasonal Expectations, Logistics and Access, plus a one-page Essential Recon summary. Study the unit on our interactive map, then export the points you choose into onX or your favorite hunting map.

How this data was collected

Data Hunt Guide aggregates publicly available sighting reports from across the web (social media, hunting forums, harvest reports, and trail-camera shares) and uses a proprietary algorithm to identify high-activity zones (hotspots) within each unit. Our team verifies coordinates manually before publication.
