Arizona Deer Unit 34B

Sightings, hotspots, and hunt insights for Arizona Game Management Unit 34B.

Unit 34B is far southeastern Arizona borderland country where the Peloncillo Mountains rise as an isolated Sky Island block, climbing from roughly 3,800 foot desert grassland basins to 7,800 foot peaks, so deer hunters work steep, rocky ridgelines and oak woodland mid-slopes rather than open forest. Water is the limiting factor here: scattered dirt tanks and terrain-dependent mountain springs concentrate animals in dry years, while warm-season grasses and oak browse drive forage after the monsoon. Our pack breaks it all down across Unit Overview and Topography, Vegetation and Hydrology, Seasonal Expectations, Logistics and Access, and a one-page Essential Recon summary. Study the unit on our interactive map, then export the points you choose to onX or your favorite hunting map.

How this data was collected

Data Hunt Guide aggregates publicly available sighting reports from across the web (social media, hunting forums, harvest reports, and trail-camera shares) and uses a proprietary algorithm to identify high-activity zones (hotspots) within each unit. Our team verifies coordinates manually before publication.
