Arizona Deer Unit 27

Sightings, hotspots, and hunt insights for Arizona Game Management Unit 27.

Unit 27 is true wilderness mountain country in east-central Arizona, hugging the New Mexico border south of Alpine, where the Blue Range Primitive Area means deer hunters work on foot or horseback with no motorized retrieval. Elevation runs from roughly 4,800 feet along the Blue River up to about 9,400 feet of mixed conifer, so deer shift from juniper and pinyon canyons to oak browse benches as conditions change, and perennial water makes terrain and access the real limiters. The pack covers Unit Overview and Topography, Vegetation and Hydrology, Seasonal Expectations, Logistics and Access, and a one-page Essential Recon summary. Study the unit on our interactive map, then export the points you choose to onX or your favorite hunting map.

How this data was collected

Data Hunt Guide aggregates publicly available sighting reports from across the web (social media, hunting forums, harvest reports, and trail-camera shares) and uses a proprietary algorithm to identify high-activity zones (hotspots) within each unit. Our team verifies coordinates manually before publication.
